A recent investigation by Channel 7 into sex crimes in Australian universities featured UQ.
The report detailed that there were 575 reported cases of sexual misconduct in Australian universities, yet only six individuals involved were expelled.

A study by the University of Sydney earlier this year noted that only 1% of sexual assault crimes were reported.

University of Queensland reported 38 cases over the five years analysed, which resulted in only one six-month suspension and no expulsions.
