Looking for activities to keep your kids active this coming school winter break? The University of Queensland in Saint Lucia offers excellent sports activities to help keep your kids fit and active.

 

Tennis

The UQ’s tennis lessons are split into two stages to ensure that your child will learn at their own pace. Upon the completion of the first stage, your child will progress to the next level. The tennis program schedule is:

 

The Week 1 schedule will be from 26-30 June and Week 2 from 3-7 July. Lessons run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The program fee is $250 per week, per student.

Swimming

Swimming is a necessary survival skill and also a perfect way to keep kids busy and fit. The Learn-to-Swim program of the University is held in small-sized classes to guarantee that children get maximum supervision and focus. The classes will be held at both the program pool and the 25-metre pool. The fee will be $135 per week, per student.

Athletics

The athletics program specialises in students 6-17 years old and will be supervised by accredited coaches. It runs for two weeks and will be split into two stages with an additional junior athletics meet to wrap up the program. The classes run from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The fee is $150 per week, per student. (Add $12 for the Junior Athletics Summer Holiday Meet)

Kids’ Club

Enroll your kids in the kids’ club, which will keep your kids entertained whilst learning new skills. The program is designed to enhance your kids’ physical and psychological abilities. they will be kept busy as the program entails jam-packed days for your little ones to explore and learn new things! The program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fee is $265 per week, per student.

For participants who wish to continue with any of these programs after the break, the UQ offers Term 3 enrolment with Tennis, Swimming, and Athletics to start on July 10 until September 17.
